Fullfield

Six tracks, one point of view.

A Fullfield recording is made from the performer’s own position. It records what they saw, heard and felt, how they moved and how they breathed, on six tracks that play back together on a certified headset and haptic garment.

The Breath and Heart tracks record a performer’s body rather than their performance. Under the Consent Standard they are agreed separately and may be refused without affecting a booking; 34.8% of performers recorded last year refused them, and their titles play without.

How to watch

Fullfield titles play in the Sense/Net Player on Fullfield-certified headsets. A certified haptic garment adds the Touch and Breath tracks; without one, a title plays with picture, sound and motion only, and the Heart track is carried in the sound.

Most titles have two editions. The original cut is the one edition every viewer sees. In the adaptive edition, Fullfield Ambient creates the street, crowd and weather around the performer afresh for each play. The performer’s own recording is never changed, and the original cut is always one step away.

Ratings

Every title carries an age rating and a motion rating: Gentle (seated or walking, little turning), Moderate (running, stairs, a boat) or Strong (falls, spins, steep descents). Start with Gentle. If you feel unwell, close your eyes; the title pauses when the headset senses that you have.

Fullfield titles are not suitable for children under 7, for anyone with a history of seizures triggered by light or motion without medical advice, or for viewing while driving, operating machinery or carrying an infant.
